Special Education: The Guiding Light

You hear the words that go unsaid,
And speak the language of the heart,
Where others see a wall instead,
You find a place for hope to start.

You guide the hands that gently trace,
You break the world into smaller steps,
You meet each barrier with grace,
And wipe the tears that are sometimes wept.

Through sensory storms and anxious days,
You stand as calm, unwavering ground,
And find unique, creative ways
To make sure every voice is found.

You see the breakthrough in the spark,
The mastered task, the independent stride.
You leave a deep, enduring mark,
Walking right by their side.

Progress bears your quiet print,
Though credit often steps away.
But we see your devotion’s glint,
And thank you for your work each day.
